Came across an old JCPenny 4″ jointer- Has a drive pulley (2 3/4″ OD), but I’ve no idea of what electric motor to hang from it- Any ideas? Thanks for any thoughts-

1/2 Horse 3450 rpm. Use the same size pulley on the motor.
Steinmetz.
Many thanks- How do you know stuff like that?
Old hands know everything Actually, I used to have one (Craftsman)I built it onto a low wooden stand/cabinet with the motor built inside the case. Gave it to my son's brother in law. Works fine. Those blades are still available . Steinmetz. The reason for the low (sawhorse) height,is to prevent tipping. It has four locking caster wheels.
And thanks again- Where are those blades available?
I think Sears? Otherwise google up four inch jointer knives.Stein.
mmm, kay- Thanks again for your help-
I believe the JC penney 4" jointer is a Delta. I had one years ago, 1/2 hp motor, do not recall rpm's.I bought it new for $75.00,complete with stand and motor around 1962 or so.Sorry I sold it, would make a fine portable machine for some installations.
