Hi,
a few issues back, FW reviewed a number of water-based finishes. One of the best choices or values was the Hydrocote Resisthane finish. I believe that part of FW tests were applying the finish with brushes. When I went to their site to order some, their web site says its really for spary-on applications and that it can be brushed on for small areas only. This looks like the right one as I need a satin finish, for my current projects.
Since I don’t have a sprayer, I am wondering if you or any of your staff have used this finish on larger projects by brushing it on?
thanks much!

Mark,
I'm sorry to tell you I don't use water based coatings. I'm sure you can get the satin look you desire from another one of their products. I'm sure their website will have some listed as brushing type.
When it's designed to be sprayed, trying to brush it out can be disastrous.
Sorry I couldn't be more help on this. But I always tell people; When all else fails, follow the directions.
Peter
thanks!
