I’ve been working on a model of a 12 in. lathe from around 1890. The original was run by a belt from an overhead line shaft. I’m curious know how large the wheel on the line shaft might have been. Are there any old timers around with any sort of experience with this kind of thing? FWIW, the intent is to 3D print the parts when finished.
