I am interested in building the router table in the table saw. I have a Sawstop with a 52 inch fence so this should fit perfectly. My questions are you say in the article a sheet each of the Baltic Birch and the mdf. Did you mean a whole 4 x 8 sheet each? Is there a special place to buy the lighter colored mdf? The box stores are usually dark.
What type of bolts etc. did you use and did you have to drill any holes in the Sawstop rails? Is there a materials list and cut list anywhere? It is a little diffcult culling them off of the article even though it seems the dimensions are there. I like the design.

Less than full sheets
Gary,
The mdf is only used for the top so you will need a piece about that size. We used a lightweight mdf, Medite is one brand name. The lightweight is generally a bit lighter in color than the regular weight material. Some lumber yards can order Medite, but you will probably get a better price if you can find a wholesale sheet goods distributor who will sell to you.
The Baltic birch used for the framing didn't use a full 4x8 sheet, but I don't know how much was used, I would guess that you might be able to get by with a 1/2 sheet, but it would be tight. We didn't draw up a cut list so I doubt if one is available. I will try to find out if they drew up a set of plans.
The article didn't explain it in any detail but I did drill and countersink a few holes in the rails to install the table. The rails are mild steel and will drill easily with a fresh sharp bit.
