I’m looking for a design for a quilt stand. I’d rather not go either the Victorian or the country look.
There was a design in Fine Woodworking #84. If anyone has access to that and can tell me whether it might fit my needs, I would be glad to order it and use that.
Thanks

Dave,
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but I don't have a scanner, so can't post one. This quilt rack built by Kelly Mehler would not be considered country. It has hand holds cut into the tops of the side uprights;acurved bottom stretcher and curved rails. It's joined by wedged tenons. At first glance it looks very simple in design, but the curves make it very eyecatching. The author makes these in multiples using a single walnut board for each; only tools he mentions using are tablesaw, bandsaw and router.
Maybe someone else can describe it better or post a picture. Hope this helps. GPW
