Anybody know of good supplier of high quality quilted maple? I am beggining the process of building some jewelry boxes as Christmas presents, and would like to use some quilted maple, along with some curly cherry that I have. I am only making two boxes, so I do not need a large quantity, but would like a very heavy quilt.
thanks in advance for the help!
PS… did a google search and didn’t find anything good right off the bat… I will continue to look, but if any of you already know of a good source, it would save me some time!

Pricey but worth it! Some of the best I've seen.

Groff and Groff as well as Good Hope hardwoods. Lately I have been buying all my Quilted Maple off of Ebay. Do a search for quilted maple. All sorts of dimensions. It's popular with solid body electric guitar makers, so you see lots of pieces 25" long and a couple of inches thick. It's not cheap but some of the figure rivals what you would see in veneer.
