I have a Ryobi radial arm saw (RA202….I think). I would like to know
if anyone knows of a collet chuck or some specific device that can
be attached to the arbor to mount a router bit to it. The saw adjusts
such that the arbor is vertical to the table……I just don’t know
how to mount different tools to it…….such as router bits, drum
sanders….etc……..any reccomendations would be welcome.

Not enough rpm to use a router bit. A drill press would be better for sanding drums as the ability to change speeds is useful, plus there are enough low bidget sanding machines out there.
I was thinking about a cutter for doing raised panels........what do
you think.
The only reasonable option is a moulding head and I think you will find it better suited to the table saw. The LRH magic moulder head is the best one on the market but Craftsman, Delta make them as well.
I have a drum sander that goes on a radial arm saw and it works great but a router bit attachment would be way to slow.

As mentioned, rpm is too slow. Also the bearings are not machined to the same tolerances as on a router, making for a sloppy cut,not what you want for raised panels.A dedicated machine for this purpose is yer best bet.(i e router or shaper)
I have the same Ryobi radial arm saw. The other end of the arbor shaft has a 1/4 inch router collet on it and runs at 22,000 rpm. I bought the saw to use as an overarm router and it works great.
Unless you've modified the motor, how does it run at 22K?
Doug
It's the 81/4" radial arm saw. The router end is geared up to run at 22,000 rpm.
Now that is pretty damn slick. RAS and overarm router.
