Rare Dewalt DW624 plunge router

Does anyone own this single speed DeWalt plunge router?
I want to know if it has soft start.

I do not own it, but my impression (and I may be wrong) is that soft start if a feature found in conjunction with variable speed only (since it uses the VS mechanism to 'ramp up' the speed of the motor). Again, I could be wrong, so seek additional input.
A least the PC 7538 7519 are single speed w/ soft start.
See, I learn something every day. I would suspect that the soft start would be available on those particular models due to the electronic feedback/constant speed under load feature. Again, just a guess but I don't see how you can have soft start without some kind of circuitry/frequency drive type device to modulate speed. <!----><!----><!---->
My guess (and I wouldn't be shocked if I was wrong) is that you will not find a soft start/single speed router in the typical handheld (10-12 amp) range (again unless it has feedback circuitry). <!----><!---->
Do you want soft start or are you trying to avoid soft start? My very limited experience suggests it is nice but not necessary (but I have never run one of the big routers you mention above).
