Doesn't look like you're getting what you need here. Ooops. Not too many serious scrollers at Knots from what I've seen. Try the Wood Magazine forum, they have a big group.

There's also a scrollsaw forum at the now defunct Just Woodworking magazine site. Their site's down right now, but they were running just a few weeks ago, so I think they're still there:

A Google on "scroll saw" forum will find several others. The Hawk and the Hegner are the two advanced scroll saws people seem to like. Not sure where the big DeWalt places against them.

I really appreciate your taking the time to offer some insight into the world of scrolling. I just glanced at the forums for a second or two, but they do look like they'll have some good info on them.
Again, thank you

Hi, I don't know any thing about the Hawk but I do have a hegner. Runs like a sewing machine. Extremely smooth and precise.
Always have fun woodworking, Paul
Thanks colebearanimals
I forgot about the Hegner scroll saws, I saw em at a woodworking show I long, long time ago... and I was impressed by the tool. I'm going to visit there web site for more information. How's the blade changing system on the Hegner?
tanks, wooden p
pretty good
I have had the 26"scroll saw for about 15 years with very few problems outher than normal wear. I use my saw in a small production shop and I average about 25 hours of runtime every week.
