I am in the process os building a kitchen island and I want to use 3/16″ Ready-to-paint beaded paneling along the sides of the island. Supposedly I can glue this to plywood and was going to just use my TiteBond glue that I use for gluing boards. Is this the proper glue to use for this beaded paneling?

I use panel adhesive, put in on in dots the size of a nickel , 8" centers in the field and perimeter. You can brad nail where trim covers the bead board, such as the base and outside corners. When done , use a block of wood for protection and tap the bead board all over to set the adhesive tight to the plywood. You can buy small tubes of adhesive that go in a regular caulking gun.

I agree that construction adhesive is a better choice than Titebond.
Have you tried the stuff Dr. Dichronic(sp?) is pushing -- PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive? I did recently, and it seems really terrific -- thinner, less gloppy than the regular stuff. Available from HD -- but it was kind of hidden on the top shelf.
Thank you Mike and NikkiWood for the info. This is another reason why this forum is so great... Regards,
