Reburbishment of makita 1020 rollers
Own a 1020 Makita 15″ planer. Feed rollers on the old guy have started to deteriorate, leaving a gummy substance on boards I attempt to plane. Somewhere I read, the urethane type rollers could be sent somewhere to have the them stripped and recoated with the Urethane type material. Does anyone have experience doing this? Could you tell me who does this?
Thanks,

http://www.alasco.com is one place. They advertise all the time in WoodShop News for roller recovering.
New style replacement knife/blade for Makita 1020 planer?
Does anyone know if they make a spiral planer knife for the old Makita 1020 planers?
