I found a This Old House video building a record player stand. https://www.thisoldhouse.com/21097207/build-it-record-player-stand
I don’t have a domino joiner. What’s the next best alternative to support those mitered joints?

Biscuits or dowels should work. Or, you really don't need anything. The loose tenons, biscuits, or dowels don't add a lot of strength in this instance. They do assist in maintaining alignment. By starting with a wide board, it helps in getting even clamping pressure. However, you can do the same by cutting your edging close to finish thickness before gluing and then use clamping blocks to even the pressure. Doing this without tenons may allow some sideways slippage. So, provide a little extra width on your edging and then use a trim router or sanding block to remove the extra after the glue dries.
Thanks! That makes sense
You could try miter splines. FWW #235 covers them in detail. They'll strengthen your corners.

There's no shame in using metal (brass) L-brackets on the inside as reinforcement. Or wooden cleats on the inside.
On the back side, countersink a hole with a large forstner bit, glue in a disc to fit the hole and flush it disc with the same forstner bit.
Credit where credit is due, I learned this from Charles Neil. RIP.
(Assuming its not seen).
