I have an exterior cedar wall with a metal cap. When the steel cap was installed metal shavings and dust got on the western red cedar and stained the cedar dark. need a treatment to lose the stain before I seal the wood. Thanks

*In making some cherry wood shaker boxes I made the mistake of using some Cc-lamps without protecting the wood with wood between the metal and the wood. The metal stained the cherry. Is there an easy/smart way of getting rid of these stains?
