Hello everybody and thank you for reading this.
I’m about to finish building a Chinese side cabinet to be used as an entertainment center, with two doors on each side and a compartment in the center where I put shelves for the various electronic components.
i need to figure out what my options are for painting it. The idea is to use bright red enamel with a few coats of transparent on top. I will use a nice spray gun I have. Any ideas about brand/type of paint I can use?? Any comments and advice are welcome.
Thanks,
Paolo

Are you considering a cinabar red ? If so I'd go with a sealer, than a mute red enamel - maybe followed by a light van dyke glaze and a top coat of satin enamel clear finish.

Thanks. Last night I went to the local hardware store and , after talking with the store manager, decided to try Benjamin More latest hybrid latex/enamel. My wife used it to paint a kitchen Island and the finish is smooth and gloss (and she used a cheap brush). I'm going to spray paint it with this paint and coat it with polyurethane mixed with a little color. I will post again once I tried and let you know if it worked.
Thx.
