I’m refinishing my oak floor. Most likely I’ll use a polyurethane for the finish. Does anyone have a suggestion for what product would work best? Or should I consider a different type of product? Thanks for your suggestions?

I don't know where to find it, or what it is, but it seems to me the stuff they put down on basketball and racquetball courts is pretty bullet proof. As a starting point, you might want to take a stroll through the yellow pages for floor refinishers and ask them what they use.
I have a wood floor in my dining room. The house will be two years old in Sept. I have to admit that I'm not thoroughly impressed with the finish that was used on my floor. My english setter has definately scarred it, especially near the windows where she likes to "scope things out". Anyway, at some point I'll probably be forced to refinish mine too. 'Hope yours is successful.

*You might try the Fabulon line of floor finishes. They've been around for A VERY long time (since 1849), and have fast-curing oil based AND waterborne finishes. A friend of mine who does floors for a living recommends them highly.I don't know whether they have a web presence, but you can call them in Buffalo, NY at 716 873 2770 to find a dealer near you.Miochael R.
