Can anyone help. I have a cherry table with a catalyzed lacquer finish that needs to be re-coated. Any suggestions on the easiest brush or rub-on finishes?
Thanks,

What shape is the current finish in? I have had better luck stripping and refinishing than going over an existing finish. Chips or dents in the finish will be difficult to fill. Simply applying a finish over the top will not fill them completely, especially on a table top that will be viewed close up.
