Greg, I have never used this particular drill press. When I retired I worked for Woodworkers Warehouse for a couple of years and sold quite a few of these machines.I don't recall ever hearing any complaints about the drill press or the Reliant 6" joiners. Most of the Reliant power tools are junk. This is a very heavy machine, lots of cast iron, alot better than the small Delta drill press.I have the Delta 17-900 drill press which is a stand up machine, I prefer this type to the bench top.Stand alone drill press doesn't take up any more room than a bench top.
For $99.00 it's a bargain
Its $130 and it works fine easy to assemble. The round table is alittle strange to begin with but I always have a larger piece if ply on top. Get one try it and return within a few days if not.
