Searched on Google and here with no luck. Looking for a wireless remote controller that can handle a 5HP 240V single phase dust collector motor. The complete units only seem to handle up to 2 HP. Heard reference to a controller that requires a user-supplied relay, which in theory would be applicable to larger motors, but couldn’t find reference to such a controller. Any advice/direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There was an article in FWW a while back showing how to wire an automatic controller using a sensor in the electric panel that would activate a relay to turn on the dust collector whenever you turned on a machine. Don't recall the issue right now but I have used this in two different shops and it works very well. Unless you are very familiar with wiring, you'll need to hire an electrician. The size of relay you will need will probably not fit into a breaker panel and some codes do not allow any kind of switching apparatus to be used inside a breaker panel.
Another thought, that size of DC motor would probably draw a lot of current on startup. Would you really want it to start up and shut down every time you turn a machine on and off?

Hoping to relocate the woodworking business within 12 months and I'd have to completely rewire the existing several breaker boxes, so that option, while elegant, is not suitable right now. I'm either going to use a wireless controller or install a motor-suitable switch in an intermediate location on the wall.
Basically you want a standard magnetic starter switch sized for your DC's motor, which is basically just a fancy relay, and then you attach the remote switch to the terminals that the start push button normally attaches to. The DC probably already has a magnetic switch so all you will need is the remote unit.

My apologies for the unclear original post; I have editted it. I'm looking for a wireless remote control that could be used to turn on and off a 5 HP dust collection motor. If I can't find one, your prior post will be very helpful - my second choice would be a toggle switch about 15' from the dust collector.
