Any ideas for a remote switch for my DC? It runs on 220, but every unit I’ve looked at has a receptacle that doesn’t match my plug. I have one of those huge plugs on my machine. I’ve heard of a mechanical remote switch with a pull-line that you can run. What kind of switch would I need for that? Is it hard on the motor in any way to leave it on all the time, interupted with a remote switch?
Thanks!

Buy a 220 Long Ranger. Change the plug if it doesn't match.
Any other experiences out there?
Fernbrook Smart Switch makes a variety of remote units. Each receiver can handle 2 power outlets ( you can transmit on an A and B channel if you want to run 2 different applications and they operate off of the same tiny transmitter.) I agree with the previous comment: change the plug. I am running a 220 DC off of the B channel and a smaller 110 DC unit off of the A channel.
Fernbrook is at 1-800-382-1924.

I hard wired my blast gates with micro switches that switch a 12v DPST relay.
Total cost, under $50 and that includes the wire and a 200ma transformer.
Now I don't have to keep track of the remote and it forces me to close the gate. The proof is in the puddin'
I believe this is what you're looking for. Should be the same item to which Indianapolis referred.
