All , Every summer the pine trees drop sap on my car. Soon, it gets baked on .
Tried several solvents,but avoided lacquer thinner (no wanting to remove the paint) If you catch it early, turpentine will do it.
But, after it hardens, it’s nearly impossible.
The windsheild is easy enough to clean, using a single edge razor blade. ..It seems this year it’s much worse.
The &*&*%$# white spots have the look of a ‘bird turd cluster’.

I'm trying oxy clean (Metod's method) Steinmetz.
Try ice cubes in an old sock. When it freezes, it should flake off from my own experience with no harm to the paint.

Hey Sarge, great idea My son uses dried ice in his machine shop I'll Get a sockful from him and wear a glove (OR, the other sock)

Car cleaning product companies sell something called "Bug & Tar" remover, have you tried this? KDM
