I have an antique wooden serving cart and on one of the leaves the bottom board has shifted over about a half inch. The glue joints on the leaves are routed with an S shape to insure flatness. Is there a way to dissolve the glue on the affected board so I can realign it with the profile of the rest of the panel. I have photos available to help you understand if required. Thanks Richard

dicky,
if the glue is hide glue, (reddish and crystaline), warm water and brushing will suffice. if it is modern yellow, aliphatic glue then liberal wetting with white vinegar works well.

Don't forget to consider the effect of the repair/modification on the potential antique value of the piece.
