getting moved into new shop unpacked bandsaw that was stored in grandfathers shop and there was rust on the cast iron table.
can anyone tell me how to remove the rust.
It is a ridgid 14″.
I know the comments are coming but all i do is piddle with
it and my wife suprised me in 03 for my birthday.
besides it appears to cut fine since i don’t do any resawing.

Try T-9 Bo sheild rust remover and protectant-
I'm sure there are a dozen home remedies for rust removal- try em all and then buy some T-9.
I was amazed at how well it worked- After you clean your saw you'll end up looking around for rusty things just to see what it won't do.... I never found a rust spot it couldn't handle.

Try wd-40 with emery cloth. Once the rust is removed, clean the surface with paint thinner. Once it is clean and dry rub it with bees wax and buff it out. I've found bees wax to be better than paste wax.
