I was ask to fix this bent plywood chair. I have included 3 photos. Where the leg attaches is cracked and now weak.
How can I reinforce and/or fix this point of attachment? Does anyone have any information about this chair. My mom has had it for years and loves it. Wants it back, ASAP.

ps: Why are these JPEG files so big? Can I make them smaller?

With your camera software you should be able to resize them. 600xwhatever the other dimesion comes out to usually works pretty good.
I am sorry I cant see the problem in the pictures.
But I have done a little repair work in the past.
Most glues will not stick to already dried glue (old or new).
If the problem is the wood separating and cracking, I would suggest to look into Epoxies for the repairing the failed glue joint.
Good luck.
The problem is bad design. The leg is a nice long lever, exerting huge forces at the point of attachment. To fix it right, I'd make pieces of wood like the aprons on a dining table. They'd mortise&tenon into the sides of the legs, and hold them against the leverage. They would be four "aprons", holding the legs in position even without the bent plywood.
If you're still looking, I found your chair.
