Hi, Does anyone out there know how to touch up or repair scuffs and scratches to a catalist lacquer finish? I’m building cabinet carcases out of pre finished birch plywood.
Thanks, Glen

You could just sand thouroughly and apply another thin coat over it. Sometimes you can even get precat laq in an aerosol can if you don't have spray equipment. With a light touch you can often freather it on without having to recoat the whole thing. Option 2 - you can sand out the scratches with very fine sandpaper, then use finer sandpaper and automotive rubbing compound to bring it back up to sheen. Major scratches can be fixed with common touchup techniques like wax stick and burn in.
