My table top was damaged recently. A hot curling iron slightly burned and discolored the finish. No roughness can be felt at the damaged area so the damage is slight. Any ideas how to repair?
Thank you!

Is the discoloration a white mark, or does it look like a burn--ie darkened? What is the finish? .
It's burned, slightly darkened. Don't know the finish. May be some kind of conversion type lacquer.
