replacement drawer for vintage library catalog chest of drawers
My Dad was a major woodworker who was forced to stop for medical reasons. He picked up this vintage library catalog chest of drawers at a garage sale years ago. I was able to get a replacement drawer made which fits perfectly but the color is off. The grain is off as well most likely to being a different type of wood. I know from searching online it’s value in refurbished condition is 4 figures. As is, at least half that. Any suggestions?

Take a drawer with you and head to the nearest thrift / junk / antique shops. Look for anything made of wood that looks like the drawer front and bring it to the one that built the drawer for you. If you are looking to hold value you should also consider the rest of the drawer, not just the face. Think restoration rather than replacement.
