I have a Delta 22-540 planner and I am trying to replace the knives. The wrench they give with the machine is not a good fit on the nuts ( the website admits its a poor fit) and I think the directions are backwards to boot. The nuts are a very tight spot and my normal wrenches don’t fit in. I can’t seem to be able to loosen about half the nuts. Any tips on getting the blades out. If I get a new planner any suggestions

Typically I grind a standard wrench down to a thinner size. Keep dipping it in water so it doesn't turn blue and lose it's temper. Most likely it's a metric size. The stock wrenches are normally of a low quality.
Good idea thanks
It is 10mm
Sears sells mini wrenches that are good for this sort of thing.
Pete
Thanks for the information
