I have some 18 inch walnut boards about 5/8″ thick and 4 feet long that I would like to resaw in half. Wouldn’t fit in the bandsaw if I had one. Any suggestions how to do this by hand?
Thanks.

Not an easy task ... why not take them to someone with a big BS?
But if you're determined to do it yourself, use the table saw on each edge for as deep as it will go. Then connect the kerfs with a large bowsaw. Alternative 2 is to cut the 18" width into two 9" pieces before resawing, then put them back together.

No info in your profile to indicate where you live, but I second Ring's suggestion to find someone with a big bandsaw. If you liver where there are mills, someone will have a big one. Chat 'em up and see if they'll do it for ya.
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
When you resaw and plane these walnut boards you will have 1/4" panels (depending on the moisture content before the milling operations). Now you will have to find 5/4 stock if you are thinking of frame and panel construction.. You didn't say what plans you have for these boards!!
