I have come by two pieces of Ipe. They are 23″X5.5″X1.75″. I plan on making a jointer plane sole from one. I have a 14″ Delta band saw and a couple of skip tooth Timber Wolf blades. Neeless to say this stuff is harder than Chinese Arithmatic. What blade(s) would be best to use? I am thinking one cut may well dull the blade very soon and it would seem it would be wise to have a couple extra on hand.
Thank you.

Make sure your saw is in really good tune. Get a 3 tpi, 3/8-1/2" blade. A carbide-tipped blade would not be a bad choice.
Do not over-tension the blade.
With a new blade, either steel or carbide, with gentle, but consistent feed rate, you should have no trouble completing the cut in one pass.
Be prepared for a lot of very fine, irritating dust.

That's not a lot of Ipe. I would think one blade should be able to cope. I did two Ipe deck chairs which involved a lot of curved cuts as well as resawing. Totally toasted 2 Highland Hardware Woodslicer blades before all was done, but that's a lot more wood than you have. Hint: If you see smoke, the Ipe has won and it's time to get a new blade:-)
If you build it he will come.
Well it looks as though I will have to use the left overs for a boomerang or two.
