Any tips on using the 10 1/2 inch Inca bandsaw for resawing. With relatively narrow wood up to about 2 to 3 inches I get good straight and smooth results. On wider boards I begin to get a cut slanted from top to bottom with the bottom of the cut being significatly thicker than the top of the cut. I’ve used a high support block for the stock but even then the cut is thicker at the bottom.

this may seem overly simple, but have you tried a different blade yet? I had the same problem on my jet until the timberwolf guy recommended that i change the blade, and it fixed everything. to illustrate his point, he took the guides off of the saw and resawed about 5" with no guides and the cut was great. he said simply "this blade doesnt know any better than cut straight". and he wasnt even trying to sell me his his own blade. he told me to try any other blade suitable for resaw. it worked great.
Great idea -- simple ideas often save the day. I just ordered the Wood-slicer blade from Highland to put your idea into practice.
Larry,
If you use as coarse a tooth blade as possible and adjust for its tracking you will probably solve your problems. Of course the blade needs to be sharp and the guides set properly.

Thanks - I just ordered the Wood-Slicer blade from Highland.
Are talking about the 710/ 3 wheel design. Had the same saw, nothing but problems. Not very good at resawing large lumber, had to really tension the blade to avoid bad cuts,a good blade helped but in the end l just sold it and bought a new saw.
