Lots of resawing this week. There are about 550 parts here of various widths and lengths. Thicknesses are from .062 to .115 inches.
Laguna 18BX, 1-1/4″ Laguna Resaw King carbide blade. Fantastic saw.

Impressive stack of wood there. Like many others, I've had good results with the Highland Woodslicer blade and a 14" bandsaw.
Wow, so what are you making?
Shaker boxes.
Nice!
That explains all the dust from earlier this week.
Yes sir, yes sir, 3 bags full.
My god, how many shakers are in your collection and why does each need a box of its own?
It's not just shakers, it's movers and shakers.
Ha, lucky thing that you can get movers' boxes pretty much anywhere. But really, I'm curious... why all the boxes?
I sell a lot. Give away lots.
Is there a website?
No. Those I sell all go to the Enfield Shaker Village in Enfield NH. Anyone who is in that area should definitely plan a visit.
You're doing pics. At last! :-)
I yam hoping for many more of your work. In fact, this seems an appropriate moment to make a similar request of every other poster. Showuz yer work, oh do. I feel there is fine stuff out there.
Lataxe, waiting to pop me eyes.
Been there, a really nice day. Love the subtle scale in the photo.
Nice! I love my 18BX, but I haven't done a lot of resawing (yet). I have hundreds of board feet of white oak drying, and soon to be about 500-600 hundred bf from the white pine we cut down next to the house. My stepson has a swamill on his farm 8 minutes from our house, which is nice. I wish I had a mill here though, the hardest part is getting the logs on my trailer to get to the farm. :-)
The 1-1/4" Resaw King works great. I think I might try the 1" when this needs replacing, to see what difference it makes.
I have the 1" Resaw King, and really like it. I went back and forth between it and the 1 1/4" and settled on less stress for the saw. No comment on the difference between it and the 1 1/4", haven't ever used it.
I have a 14" Laguna BX, which theoretically takes the 3/4" Resaw King but I could never get it to track properly. I use a 1/2" Resaw King and I've been surprised at how well it cuts. Have done various hardwoods, up to 12" wide.
I have a 14/12, which I think is the same as the BX, but with a smaller motor. I used the 3/4" Resaw King on the 14/12 just fine. I used the 1/2" Woodslicer a lot, and it's also a great blade. It doesn't last as long as the carbide, but costs a lot less.
