Question for my woodworking friends who wear glasses. Has anyone found a good respirator that fits in such a way that your glasses don’t fog up? I’ve tried many types including the small 3M brand that has a valve. They advertise it as being the answer for this problem. It doesn’t work. I wear tri-focals and don’t want to wear contacts. I wore them as a teen and don’t have to tell anyone here what happens to a contact wearer in a dusty situation. I have a very good DC system but – it’s a woodworking shop.
Any suggestions? Ken

being an experianced scuba dive there is a product called -bullfrog-an anti-fogger we use it in the mask in the service we spit in the mask -bullfrog works better water based product that is easily cleaned up . i myself use it when spraying, and i wear glasses more often then i would like to readily admit. and it works very well,or......for the quick fix try a little-or avery small film of liquid soap, put has atendency to distort the vision, almost prismatic.
Reminds me of a product designed to keep your windshield from fogging. I'll check at Wal-Mart and Autozone to see if they have it. Thanks, Ken
careful with that i think that maybe an alcohol based product."expectations are premeditated resentments"
Grain possibly???? Ha Ha
I'll check the label, thanks.

If your face is shaped like mine, the respirator fogs your glasses because it is not sealing to your face -- probably on your cheeks just below your glasses. Your humid breath is being exhaled right into your glasses. The other bad thing about poor sealing is that you're inhaling through that crack, too. For me, the solution was to try many respirators until I found one that seals correctly. I use one from 3M which they make in three sizes. As it happens, one of the sizes fits me well and the other ones don't. 3M calls it the series 6000, and I got it from Enviro-Safety Products for $10 or so. Cool! This could be just what I'm looking for. I'll find a distributor here who'll let me try out different ones. Thanks, Ken
I am aware of a product called Car Crap that is used by camera crews to help keep their lenses from fogging. I also know people using it for their glasses but have not tried it myself. Some camping and outdoors stores stock it.
I have been use the Dustfoe dust mask available from Highland Hardware. I have no problems with my glasses fogging up.
I'm definately getting some good feedback. Thanks y'all so far, Ken
I had exactly the same problem until I bought a "Low Maintenance Respirator" from the Grizzly catalog. It's very comfortable -- I can wear it for a couple of hours at a time without any discomfort. It's cheap -- about $10.00, plus $5.00 for a pair of particulate filter cartridges.
