I noticed that the top I glued to my daughters jewelry box is beginning to bow. Is it possible to remove it without damaging the rest of the case? It is 5/8 walnut.

I would think that depends on the joinery and type of glue you used.
More information and a picture of the problem would be helpful.
I used titlebond III. If I remove the door, the top overhangs by about 2 inches. It rests on a solid pc. of plywood. thought I could pry up on thefront and some would crack off. Was thinking of using a chisel to split the rest and take it off in pieces.

I'm having a hard time visualizing what you're describing, but it sounds like you'll need to remake the top with something other than solid wood. Veneered ply, perhaps?
One should always design around expansion and contraction, and use stock that has already stabalized.
