A friend told me that it is possible to reverse an electric motor. Is that true? What kind of motor can be reversed? How that must it be done?
Thank you!

Many electric motors can be reversed thought not all. Three phase are the easiest just swap any two leads. Single phase motors that are reversible have to have the starting winding leads swapped. The name plate or the diagram inside the connection box will tell the story. There are some rare types of motors reversed in different ways but in my thirty years of electricianing I've only seen one.

Bet, If you have the type of motor which has a starting winding, plus a running winding, (Usually has a fat condenser (Capacitor) on top)
Just swap the two sets of leads inside the connection box of the motor

If you want to add a reversing switch, to run it either way,
Get a double pole double throw switch rated for 20 amps
Looking at the six lugs (connectors) at the bottom of the new switch, you'll find two parallel rows of three connections [123]
looking like this...................................[456]
Attach the running windings to the center two(2+5) and the starting wires to either end two (1+4) or, (3+6)
Now apply two short 'Jumpers' in the form of a letter X connecting the four outside connectors jump 1 to 6 and 4 to 3
Now you can run the motor either way.
DON'T reverse the motor until it has stopped!!
