I am in the process of outfitting a woodworking shop and would be interested in opinions of the best tools to get. We currently do very little custom work but plan to grow in that direction. I am currently interested in a planer (24″ plus range), jointer (12″ plus range), double drum sander (large, 24″ plus range) and any thoughts on a dust collection system.

For new machines there's also SCM, Martin, Sicar, General (nice jointers), Ema (sp?) and some others which I can't think of right now. If your looking for old machines there's Oliver, Yates, Wadkin, Poitras and lots of others.
here's a link to an Aldinger 40" thicknesser if you want to go that big http://www.m-mls.com/onlineCatalog/details.asp?cat=1440&auct=0&liq=0&id=12429&p=1&rpp=10 they also have a 50" planer in the list somewhere, as well as lots of smaller ones (by that I mean around 24")
hope this helps
