The latest email I received from Fine Woodworking included a review of ten miter saws. The Ridgid R4251 was rated their “Best Value” pick. As far as I can tell, this saw has been out of stock for years now. How can I purchase one of these elusive unicorns?

I’m personally not going click on a link that looks like this.
I fixed the link. It was copy/pasted from the email and had the auto-virus detect stuff going on.
Until they discontinue the saw it will stand as our "Best Value" because that's what it was in the test. If anyone wants proof we're not swayed by affiliate links... this is it.
The Rigid saw was made by Delta, and you can still buy the Delta version, model 26-2251, at least for a little while longer. I have had one for several years and really like it. Home Depot and Lowes carry Delta's newer version, model 26-2312, but it has some significant differences.
Thanks for that. I appreciate you taking the time to reply with this information.
