I recently bought an old 14″ Rockwell Delta bandsaw, serial # 62-7999. It needs various parts replacing but most importantly the upper wheel bearings. As I live in Zimbabwe, (Southern Africa) most of the bearings are sized in metric units so I don`t want to force an `oversize` metric into the housing. Also what is the `ideal` bandsaw length for this model without the riser.
Grateful if anyone could tell me where to find this information? (I have looked on the Delta web site but could not find an email address for these type of questions.)
Thanks,
Shorty

The bearings are metric. In fact most bearings are metric, even older machines produced in the US. Take then to your local? bearing supplier. You can figure out the blade length easily by putting the wheel in the middle of it's height range and using a string or simple geometry
