Rockwell Delta Jointer (37-220) won’t start!
I bought this 6in jointer about a year ago on Craig’s list. It was working fine until about a week ago when the motor cut out and I can not get the relay to reset. The jointer is wired for 220 and you can see from the photos it has the older magnetic heater relays. I have tried to reset but do not know how this is done. Is it supposed to reset automatically? There is power going into the top of the heaters, but nothing coming out of the bottom. Do I need to replace the relay? Switch?

On my old Delta, you reset the magnetic switch by pressing the OFF button as deep as it would go into the switch box.
Maybe yours is the same.

If it "hums" but doesn't spin more than likely you need to clean the contacts on the starter mechanism. Some disassembly of the motor is required but it is not very difficult. Do a search on YouTube for electric motor hums but doesn't spin. There are several videos that show you how to disassemble, clean and file the contact points.
You could have a bad start capacitor. if there is a short in it the magnetic switch may not latch.
If you do not know about how to troubleshoot this. It may be best to hire an electrician that's willing to take a job like this, or find a friend that can help. With your pictures and description, it could be many things and much like working on a car, if you just start replacing things to see if that works, it might be cheaper to just hire the work done.
