Rockwell International wood lathe
I have placed a new post in the Turning forum but thought I might place one here as well seeing how it is a machine and a power tool.I have a newly aqquired Rockwell international wood lathe made in Guelph, ontario,Canada. It has a metal tag saying that it is a model 150,serial number 41923 but it is identical to a model 3400.Mine has an original wrinkle black finish.I am looking for a owner/operators manual for this machine.I have tried Ray at Ozark but he does not have one.If anyone can help I would appreciate it
Thanks,woodplane

Even if you can find one, will the manual be useful? It's probably written in Canadian, after all. ;-)

That would be awesome if I found one in Canadian, after all that's where I live LOL!

46-111 similar?
try http://www.Ozarkwoodworking.com . They have the maual for $15
It's really not much of a lathe but it's the only one I've got. Of course the stand I made myself. Note the 270 lbs. of sand on the shelf, that helps absorb vibration for smoother turning.
The bowl in the photo is the maximum size I can turn inboard.
Happy turning, Bret
Hi Bret
Thanks for the reply !No it's not the same as the one you have pictured.I tried Ray at Ozark and he said he does not have a manual for the lathe I have.Nice stand you have made there.the sand seems like an excellent way to dampen the vibration.I also like the bowl you have made.

Is there something specific you're looking for the the proper manual? Otherwise, lathe operations are pretty generic, so a manual from a similar unit might suffice.
