Does anyone have any experience with Rojek slot mortisers? I’m thinking of
buying the VDA 316 model.
Thanx, Russ

I've had one for about 18 months. Worked fine out of the crate. Really speed up my production and the bits last forever. A very good machine and investment IMO.

I don't have one but I have used commercial ones and a friend just bought the Laguna/Robland. I checked the Rojek at the Hartford woodshow last week and I thought the Rojek mortiser looked really good for the money. At the shows they usually sell for $1,200. That indexing bar is a nice feature. For the money it's the best one I've seen.
Hi,
I have had one for over a year and think it is terrific.
The only complaint I had is that TechMark, who sells the Rojek line in the US sold me some mortising bits with the machine.
The bits were awful and of a design I have never seen before.
They had some odd split point that burned the wood terribly.
Needless to say I returned them but they did not refund my money on the one bit I tried. That really ticked me off. Even one of the employees at TechMark agreed the bits were no good.
So, buy the Rojek mortiser but tell TechMark to keep their stinkin' bits!!!
Just buy some spiral upcut bits and you'll be in great shape.
Regards,
Tom
