I live in Williamsbug Virginia area, am new to woodworking and trying to locate a supplier somewhat nearby for rough cut lumber. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Jollypond,
Go to http://www.woodfinder.com. Also, contact the Virginia Division of Forrestry for a list of sawmills in your area. Also try the websites for Woodmizer and other portable sawmill companies for a list of owners close by.
Hope this helps.

Have you tried craigslist in your area. There are a number of people around here (Mpls,St. Paul) who advertise lumber they have for sale.
