Short of turning it myself I’m looking for a source for 2 1/4″ round stock? At this point the type of wood isn’t important. Any help is greatly appreciated.

hey Kim, You can make your own if you have a router with a 1/2" collet. and a 1 1/8" round-over bit. Then you can use whatever wood that you can find. Here is a link for one that will only cost you a small portion of one leg. K

Thanks I never thought of using my router. Drew a blank on that particular piece of equipment.
What about base ball bat blanks ?? 3" X 38" ash. Available from http://WWW.rockler.com . About $25 plus tax+shipping.
