I’d like to install a round top door (interior) in my house but can’t find anyone who makes them other than some very expensive exterior doors. So, I figured I would try to build my own. I have made a six panel rectangular door in the past and thought I would try to build something similar with one verticle style bent 180 deg. (pine)
Can anyone give me any leads on books or magazines I could find that might offer some tips or guidelines on bending wood. I went to my local library and couldn’t really find much.
Thanks

I have built these doors before and what you should do is create head that is wide enough to cut the radi out of by gluing two pieces of pine together at a 45 degree angle at the center of the door. The stiles should be attached by coping or mortises to the head on the upper ends I always cut the interior radius prior to assembly and cut the outside radius after I build the door. That way you can attach clamping blocks to the head to assist in gluing the door together.
