routed grooves for tablesaw outfeed tabl
I built a tablesaw outfeed table and now have to rout the grooves for the tablesaw sled runners and miter guage. Does the width of the outfeed table groove have to be the same close tolerance as the miter gauge slot on the tablesaw? It seems to me the alignment work is being taken care of by the tablesaw groove and not necessary to be tight on the outfeed table. I’m concerned that any bump in the outfeed table will misalign the slots and cause problems.
thanks,

Hey there,
Just make the grooves oversize. They just allow the sled to travel into the outfeed table. Nothing to worry about here in terms of accuracy. Best of luck with your woodworking. Gary
