Am in the market for a dual base router. Any comments about the Porter-Cable 895PK, 21/4 HP? Thanks Anybody.

I have not used that one yet, but I would suggest that whatever one you get to make sure it has a height adjustment ability to be used in a router table, else you have to buy a list instead. That was the case with the Makita I bought - that is my only gripe with the unit though.
Don't own one but from what I've heard, the bosch 2 1/4 is much better than the pc. I've seen some posts that say the pc is not designed nearly as well.
Amazon has the bosch for a little over $200 with some extra's thrown in and they have free shipping and $25 off a purchase of $199 or more until the end of June. Check out the opinions on that site about the two routers, I remember the bosch reviews were very good. If you want to take out a loan, the festool is regarded as the best. I like it a lot but I don't think I can justify the extra coin.

I just picked up this router the other day. It runs great. It does have the adjuster for using in a table, so that is a plus. I had done so much research that I almost couldn't make a decision, too much info! I ended up going with the PC because almost everything out there, dovetail guides, acessories, etc, is using the PC as the standard. I looked at the D621 and was going to go the way of a separate fixed and plunge, but any guides and big bits, the D621 wouldn't spin them. An added bonus, the PC comes with plans for a router table if you want to build that yourself. I already have one, but I thought it was a pretty cool thing to do.
