There is UD 5152, and 62 that are up/down solid carbide spiral , 1/2 X 1/2 X 3 1/2 in length, cutting to 1 5/8 at Whiteside Tool. Comes with double 1/2 bearings.

Up/down compression bit (2+2). I have it for delicate spline trims on G & G stuff. Pricey at $97-114
Thanks for the info, I am wanting to use this bit to cut mortises in the rails and stiles for an exterior door I am working on. WW-57
That 1 5/8 depth of cut is one of the longest I've seen on a 3 1/2 bit but that particular Whiteside wouldn't work for you unless of course you removed the bearings and got rid of the arbor and, and, and,but -- give Whiteside tech a call, they're real nice they respond fast and can give you guidance. The also do custom sizes.Mill ends might suit you better. or a mortise chisel... :>)
Slightly kidding about the chisel but only slightly as these bits are pretty spendy and if it's only a one off project, will you ever use this bit again and 6 or 8 mortises in door stock doesn't really take too long when weighed in against the whole router set up. Of course you may have a Wood Rat. If so, "Carry on Mr. Bowditch"
Just thoughts.BB
As the other poster said Look at Whitesides. A bit more than the others but QUALITY bits. If you do dot see what you want on their Web pages.. I would call them.. and I think they would direct you to a source...
Try Integra Tooling
