I am new @ the router table, have some new bits. Using a beading 1/2” R that beads on top and bottom. At the top at the bearing it is leaving uncut fibers that look like whiskers. New bit, so it should be good and sharp. Using it on 3/4”X 8” pine. Could use some good advice. Maybe a web sit on how to set bits for proper cut depth. Look Forward To Your Advice. Fishwood.

Pine can do that,so if Im going to route I will make it in 2 passes to avoid any strange things that may occur while profiling it as you mentioned.LOL.
Tried 2,3 passes and same results. May have to change profile. It'll be a couple days before I get back to the project. Thanks for the input. Fishwood.
Maybe tou should try the same cut on another piece of pine, sometimes it could be related to a certain strip of that stock with relation to its grain or try a cove and see what your results are.LOL.Pete.
"At the top at the bearing it is leaving uncut fibers that look like whiskers." I just reread this sentence and noticed the underlined phrase. Is it possible that the spacer/washer next to the bearing is causing these whiskers? What brand of router bit is it??

I'd say any bit can do that in some wood.. I do not think it is you!
That is not uncommon on crosscuts on certain woods. Poplar is one of the worst, pine can be bad.
