As a magazine we cannot make buying decisions for you. Our job is to arm you with information so that you can make intelligent choices. Further, I have not so much as held one of Marc Sommerfeld's bits in my hand in five years or so. He was a demonstrator for CMT and was influential in shaping that companies bits for the North American Market. Many of the bits on his website look to be CMT which is a very good manufacturer. However, a common practices among specially retail houses, such as Sommerfeld, is to use several suppliers. (It is hard to find one supplier for every bit needed by the general public so multiple suppliers is almost a necessity.) Marc is long established in the router bit business and has a good reputation. Therefore, I do not think you would go far amiss with his bits.
With best regards,
Ernie Conover
