I need help with a template problem. I have a heart that I am “putting” into a piece of rosewood. It’s not an insert, it’s on the same plane, I’m routing out the curve and putting the heart into that. The problem is which bushings to use. I have the PC bushing set. The bit is a 1/4″. I tried using the 3/4″ OD bushing and the 1/2″ OD bushing but it doesn’t seem to fit. (I even thought I might have them “backwards” so I tried fitting the “heart” into the other piece, no go). Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? I’m running out of time and material and would like to get this done. Thanks.

I believe you need this set from what I can tell from your description. You might also invest in some router technique books...well worth the money.
