i once saw, and thought i had saved in my favorites, a plan for a router jig in which the router rested on a small platform attached to two pipes so it could slide forward/backward. the base used a pipe clamp which was built into the jig, to hold the project. i am now ready to build this jig, but can’t find the plans. sheesh!!!! can anyone point me to the plans?

Sounds like a router sled -- are you trying to flatten a wide board with a router? Don't know of the plan you cite, but here is Peter Loh's method. If you Google "router sled" flatten board you'll find others, maybe the one you mention.
Forest.. What you posted were NOT Pipes!
BUT I think you should apply at Google for a 'tester at searching web pages'.. YOU may make 80 grand a year!
I know they weren't pipes, WG! No biggie the search, Google is my friend.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
We'll give you an alias - GoogleGal. ;-)
See November 80 issue for The Router Rail. Or may 91 issue which had the tubular rails job.
